Glenn Frank Sax

Everything DJs, planners, and venues need to book live saxophone, including DJ + sax sets, LED sax show moments, vocals, percussion, and MC when the event calls for it.

Performance Format

Designed for seamless DJ + sax collaborations. I layer live saxophone over your set without adding complexity to your rig.

Format
Live saxophone over the DJ set (acoustic or lightly amplified depending on room size and energy). LED sax show moments are built into every package.
Typical Timeline
Performance time is split across the event as needed: dinner vibes, peak dance floor, and signature LED sax moments. Exact timing is coordinated with the DJ in advance.
Cueing
Line of sight to the DJ booth is preferred. I read the room and follow the energy of your set with no rigid song-by-song chart required. Audio must patch through a mixer, not directly into a DJ controller.

Ceremony, Cocktail Hour & Dinner

I perform live saxophone for these moments, but I do not provide the sound system for ceremony or cocktail hour.

Ceremony & Cocktail Hour Sound
I do not provide speakers or PA for ceremony or cocktail hour. If I am booked to perform during either, sound must be supplied by the DJ or venue.
Preferred Speaker
Electro-Voice Evolve 50 is my preferred speaker for ceremony and cocktail hour when the DJ or planner is sourcing gear.
Backing Tracks
I provide my own backing tracks when needed for ceremony, cocktail hour, or standalone sax sets.
Dinner Service
For dinner vibes, I can perform to my own backing tracks or play live sax over the DJ's tracks, coordinated in advance.

Sound & Monitoring

I travel with my own wireless sax microphone, pedalboard, and effects. The venue or DJ must provide a dedicated mixer. I do not plug directly into a DJ controller.

Mixer Inputs
Two open XLR inputs on a dedicated mixer are required for my signal. My rig outputs into those channels after the mic, pedalboard, and effects chain.
My Rig
I provide the wireless sax microphone, pedalboard, effects, and all cabling from the sax to the mixer inputs.
In-Ear Monitors
One XLR output from the mixer to my in-ear monitor pack, which I provide. Please confirm a monitor send or aux output is available before the event.
DJ Controller
Do not patch me directly into a DJ controller. A separate mixer is required so my signal and monitor feed are routed correctly.
Power
One standard 120V outlet within 25' of my performance position for the pedalboard and LED sax charging when needed.
Volume
Balanced to complement the DJ mix and stay present on the floor without overpowering vocals or the low end.

LED Saxophone

Signature show element included in every package, and one of the few live sax performers with a fully lit LED sax.

Lighting
The sax is self-illuminated. Works under existing event and DJ lighting with no additional lighting plot required.
Power
One standard 120V outlet within 25' is helpful for battery charging on longer events. Not required for short sets.
Timing
Best deployed during peak dance-floor energy when the room is ready to turn up. Coordinated with the DJ in advance.

Hospitality

Bottled Water
Bottled water provided during the performance.
